Robot training data comes in very different forms, and the main difference is how directly each one tells a robot what to do with its hands. A video of someone wiring a socket shows what happened. It does not say exactly where the fingers were, how hard they pressed or how the tool moved in three dimensions.

Why robots need to learn from electricians
Robots can now fold laundry, sort parcels and tidy a kitchen in videos that collect millions of views. Put the same robot in a half finished apartment and ask it to pull a cable through conduit, strip it and land it in a junction box, and it has almost nothing to go on.
